To be Honest with yourself...

Supposedly being honest should make life simpler and clearer, but very often we choose dishonesty to make it easier on us or on others...

As most of our behaviors, the tendency to change truth seems to start when we are children and we want to avoid punishment. Fear gets the better of us and we say something in an effort to avoid the consequences of whatever it was that we did.

Since keeping us away from pain and fear are the strongest human motivators, we quickly learn to fall back on dishonesty anytime we think it will spare us from painful consequences.

But our mind is watching it all, and won't stop reporting on ourselves, so you feel bad with yourself. You're not being true to yourself.

Being honest requires courage because it makes us vulnerable and accountable.

Let yourself be vulnerable and accountable, let yourself grow with your choices and don't act as a victim of random events. Build yourself up.

Happy Birthday Giby. Here we go again...

Even when tying your shoes - tie them impeccably"
