First Step: ... Silence ...

“We sit silently and watch the world around us. This has taken a lifetime to learn. It seems only the old are able to sit next to one another and not say anything and still feel content. The young, brash and impatient, must always break the silence. It is a waste, for silence is pure. Silence is holy. It draws people together because only those who are comfortable with each other can sit without speaking. This is the great paradox.”

Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

Can you sit silentely with yourself? Or are you uncomfortable around yourself.
Be the resting place you wish to find.
Be the quietness that brings you fresh new breaths, a new energy.
Be the companion you long to rest your head upon.

Live intimate moments with you.
Get intimate with your thoutghs, with your body, with your dreams.

Love begins in yourself.

“I treat myself like I would my daughter. I brush her hair, wash her laundry, tuck her in goodnight. Most importantly, I feed her. I do not punish her. I do not berate her, leave tears staining her face. I do not leave her alone. I know she deserves more.
I know I deserve more.”

Michelle K., I Know I Deserve More

“We need people in our lives with whom we can be as open as possible. To have real conversations with people may seem like such a simple, obvious suggestion, but it involves courage and risk.”

Thomas Moore

Love begins in you. Love begins with you.
Be the best partner you could ever wish for.

Cool vid, from Mister Deepak Chopra...

"(...) If you live your questions, one day Life will lead you to your answers. (...) Just when the caterpillar was reaching an end, it became a butterfly."

Forgiveness sets me free

“To be wronged is nothing, unless you continue to remember it.”

“One thing you learn when you’ve lived as long as I have - people aren’t all good, and people aren’t all bad. We move in and out of darkness and light all of our lives.”

Calm, but Alert.

Let us meet in a place with no fences, endless sky, boundless potential, opening from the heart.

“Many of the stories we tell ourselves (of what it means to be men, to be human, to be love) we did not invent, we inherited. Often they were forced into our genetic timeline through violence of invasion, abuse of a home, ugliness of forced intimacy. When this “story” becomes an environment our children are raised in, they see it not as an invasion, but as routine. How then does a society interrupt a cycle if not with imagination? How then do we begin healing ourselves if not by healing our stories?”
— Poet Mark Gonzales, from “TOWARDS A CYCLE OF HEALING”

This is what Happiness looks like ; )

All you seek is within

"If we feel like something is missing, it is because we are seeing through the eyes of our ego-mind, which has a limited perspective of our infinite, divine nature.

With the realization that we already have everything we need and desire, we give up the exhausting search to find that person or situation or achievement to make us feel whole. We stop waiting for someone to complete us and open to the love that is right here, right now, in our own heart.  And, from that boundless well of spirit, we are free to share the deepest experience of love with the people in our lives.

A catchy phrase from an old pop song said, "Love the one you're with." Although you can journey outside yourself, the person to give your love to (and who, in return, must return that love), in truth, the one you are with every minute of the day, is yourself. The more rewarding way to find it is to go inward to the very source of love. If you do not do this, your love will depend on your mood swings, on how others see you and on the lovable and unlovable traits you see in yourself and others"
Deepak Chopra

I see through the eyes of my soul...

“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.”

Dalai Lama

"While each of us appears to be a separate individual, we are all inextricably connected at the soul level. We are all expressions of the infinite field of pure potentiality, also known as spirit, God, the universe, source, or whatever name most resonates with you. When we relate to each other from the level of ego or personality, it is easy to get caught up in the struggle for control and approval and the need to be right. But when we relate to each other from the soul level, we experience the expansion of love, joy, compassion, and harmony."
Deepak Chopra

Sufi dance is essentially to rotate around your own axis and through this movement you can alternate between states of consciousness and mystical ecstasy. The purpose is facilitate your soul to emerge from earthly ties and into the kingdom of God. The main dancer may also represent the sun while the others represent the planets, as in our solar system.

The purpose is to "not to seek love, but merely to seek & find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."

To be free we must learn let go, learn to "let the beauty of what you love be what you do."

Today's meditation...

We are all mirrors for each other.
To trully listen to the other is a gift for them and for yourself.
Listen not only to their words, but also to their voice, their gestures, their eyes, their energy.
Be present.
With fresh and attentive eyes and ears, witness the miracle of the person before you, seeing them through the eyes of your heart.

“The quieter you become, the more you can hear.”

Ram Dass

When our heart is filled with gratitude, we arrive fully in the present moment, letting go of our regrets about the past and concerns for the future. In this state of pure appreciation, we radiate the light of love to everyone we meet.
Deepak Chopra

"Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder."

Emotions? Feelings?

Feelings are the conscious subjective experience of Emotion.
Known as a state of consciousness, such as that resulting from emotions, sentiments or desires. A gut feeling, or gut reaction, is a visceral emotional reaction to something.*

"Emotions are the physical sensations associated with thoughts in your mind.
All emotions derive from needs.

At the most fundamental level, we have the capacity for only two basic feelings – those of comfort and those of discomfort.

Whenever you are uncomfortable, in distress, or in emotional pain, you can begin to change your situation by realizing that you are suffering because you are not getting something you need (or want)."
By Dr. David Simon

No need to continue suffering. Act. Do something about it. Get what you want.

What We seek, is seeking Us.

Obstacles are Opportunities in Disguise

"Obstacles are signals our true self sends us to let us know that we need to change directions or take a new tack. If your mind is open, it will perceive the next opportunity to do so. The secret is to abandon rigidity and trust in spontaneity. You can’t plan in advance how to meet the next challenge, yet most people try to do just that. They cling to a small repertoire of habits and reactions and they narrow their lives.

Sticking to the familiar may feel comforting but it will completely shut out the unknown, which is the same as hiding your potential from yourself. How will you know what you are capable of if you don’t open yourself to life’s mysteries or usher in the new? Whenever you catch yourself reacting in an old, familiar way, simply stop. Don’t invent a new reaction; don’t fall back on the opposite of what you usually do. Instead, ask for openness. Go inside, be with yourself, and allow your next response to come of its own accord."

Thank you!

Time to REBOOT*

*To turn (a computer or operating system) off and then on again; restart.

Sometimes our “operating system” needs to reboot. There are some days where we should just stop all the stuff we “should” or “want” to do, and just quiet all down.

It’s not easy. We always have so many “operations” ongoing that the amount of “processes” in on our “task manager” list  is long. So in fact, it does take some time till the system is really shut down. Vices, habits, the frenetic need of doing things, of sharing things, of saying is overwhelming. How many times have you indeed stopped to do nothing, absolutely nothing except to be with yourself?

Also, it’s not easy to listen to all we think. Somethings we like to smother with external activities. The “whys” and the “funny feelings” very rarely get our full attention. We feel them, some of them even bother us, make the day somewhat darker, but how many of us have the guts to quiet all down and listen, in raw, all that is underlining our latest choices and motivations?

We need to reboot otherwise we get lost and confused about what we are doing here. That big question: “What’s my Life’s Purpose”, shouldn’t be neglected. It’s not an easy question to answer, but to know it, it might be simpler than we think.

What we need is Awareness.
Oh, that constantly mentioned New Age word, the key word of any Hippie and Zen Master’s lingo.
Well, but it’s exactly what we need... To have knowledge or consciousness of something.

And how can we gain Awareness?
By slowing down.

When we slow down, we actually see more. We get more attentive to what’s around us. We make miss turns because we’re going to fast to see the signs that are telling us where to go. We’re breathing too impatiently to feel the right moment. We’re running from one task to the other, but we’re leaving it incomplete, with errors. We’re changing ourselves so fast that we’re forgetting where we came from. Slow down and enjoy the view, the smells, the sounds, the words.

Observe what’s going on outside, but first start with the inside.

How are you? Are you happy? Are you in Love?

Think Hippie Thoughts

On Love

There is a "place" where we are perfect.

Believe you can always take your Life to where you would like it to be.
If you today think there’s no Hope, no opportunity left, that all is lost, take a deep breath in, trust the Universe, trust in yourself, and take the next step. If you’ve lost your emotional free flow, whatever the reasons, take a deep breath. Think: "When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.” Lao Tzu

“Give your real being a chance to shape your life.”

“May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.”

Nelson Mandela

“Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything—anger, anxiety, or possessions—we cannot be free.”

Thich Nhat Hanh

Choose to meditate.
Close your eyes, follow your breath, feel the lightness settling in. Let the music lead you towards the spiritual dimension of your inner self.

“This is your own time. This spot where you sit is your own spot. It is on this very spot and in this very moment that you can become enlightened. You don’t have to sit beneath a special tree in a distant land. Practice like this for a few months, and you will begin to know a profound and renewing delight.”

Secrets of staying together

First of all you can’t forget that you’re always in a relationship with yourself. So start with having a loving, compassionate and inspiring relationship with You.

When you find a partner, when both your energies meet and are flowing in the same frequency, commit with each other, but not in a moral, obligation or religious way. Commit into creating, into gathering yourself in the relationship, and recommit along the relationship every time there’s a problem. Learn together by being open to each other. Talk openly about what hurts, or what makes you happy. Share even the most silly things.

Don’t loose focus on yourself, on how you can be more attractive. Find out more about the things that make you glow with confidence. Put your attention on your creative self. If you feel confident, nothing can really shake you up. No place for jealousy or insecurity.

We don’t have any control over our partner. Knowing that allows us to be free from the possessive struggles. It’s not about what the other does, but about how we respond to it.

Victim; Villain or Hero?
Don’t choose one, or be one. Be none. Don’t get in that game. Remember that you are feelings and emotions, so let yourself be free from that triangle, and choose to dance, to flow, choose to enjoy Life, shift from those antagonist forces, and think of yourself as whole. Neither victim, villain or hero. Plain You.

Don’t play the victim, or become the authoritarian leader, or the hero that puts on the cape and is running all over to the rescue. Be present in yourself, watch what feelings you’re having, find out where they’re coming from, notice what’s real and what is not, and flow in the Now. Stay present and most of all, stay interested in growing together.

... sweet.

“You cannot solve a problem in the same frequency in which it was created.”

Lynn Grabhorn

Get away, breath, and when you come back, think about it with a kind mind.
We all make mistakes...

A precious human Life

There is a language older by far and deeper than words. It is the language of bodies, of body on body, wind on snow, rain on trees, wave on stone. It is the language of dream, gesture, symbol, memory. We have forgotten this language. We do not even remember that it exists.

A Language Older Than Words, Derrick Jensen

We know so much more about our Universe and its surroundings. We know a lot more about the minim parts of our bodies. We have even proven that our cells are made of stardust. What is left unknown are the reasons behind why we’re here and what happens when we cease to exist.

It becomes a great weight in our spirit to keep this question in mind. We’re much better off when distracted by friends and stuff. But if we dare to be honest, who doesn’t worry if they’re really living in the best way possible. Who doesn’t feel that maybe some effort should be focused in making Life a bit more meaningful?

We have the need to give meaning to things, words, actions, so of course, we have the inner need to give Life a meaning.

How can I make my Life to be more meaningful?
Grow a Tree, Write a Book, and Have Kids.

Is the answer that simple...?

Stay in touch with nature, take care of it and help it flourish. Allow nature to teach you stillness. Write a Book, investigate, research, help someone through the use of your time to find out something important to them or to mankind, share it. Have kids, or help them grow. If you can’t have them on your own, take care of the ones that unfortunately are left uncared for. They’re the Future.

But all of this, do it with honesty. Find the Love you have in yourself and for yourself, and only then think about changing the outside world.

“You find peace not by rearranging the circumstances of your life, but by realizing who you are at the deepest level.”

Eckhart Tolle

Another question thats is often is our mind is: what kind of Book should I write, how can I find out what story is mine?

“That thing that you do, after your day job, in your free time, too early in the morning, too late at night. That thing you read about, write about, think about, in fact fantasize about. That thing you do when you’re all alone and there’s no one to impress, nothing to prove, no money to be made, simply a passion to pursue. That’s it. That’s your thing. That’s your heart, your guide. That’s the thing you must, must do.”

And remember, no one has it easier. Whether you have more money or a lot less, the essence of Life is a mistery unveiled to all. No matter your roots, your upbringing, your teachers, we’re all creatures of the unknown, in thirst for deep connections, Love, Joy and Peace. Keep that in mind.

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

Wayne Dyer

Be careful not follow on somebody else’s script

We all have our own desires and secrets, intentions and unspoken fears. Sometimes people find in others ways to make their personal fantasies come true. It’s OK to do that, if with action comes some sort of warning.

We’re all characters in our unsettled minds. Sometimes we’re parents or we’re sons. Sometimes we’re friends, or act as enemies. We’re constantly changing and living different perspectives of Life. It’s healthy to be flexible and open, but for the sake of less regretting, we must always be aware of what kind of script we want to read later.

After something is done, remember there will be more lines after that. If something feel wrong for you, keep in mind that there is no “The End” after what you’re doing. The script will continue. So ask yourself, what sort of lines do I want to come after my decision. Do you want a fight? Do you want drama? Maybe you do, and good for you, to be prepared to be weak is a way of being strong. But if you don’t want to shake your blissful peace, think twice and think if what you’re doing is really your choice, or someone else’s.

So be careful not follow on somebody else’s script. You have your own path, choices and decisions. The memory of you and your Life is entirely written by you. Everything else is just an opinion on who you are, or chose to be.

“We must be free not because we claim freedom, but because we practice it.”

Political Humor... not really that funny.

I don't know but being completely rational in this world is actually a bit crazy. No, not crazy cause insanity is somewhat healthy in the pursuit for happiness and blessed ignorant. My point can be easily shown by the following excerpts on the news of Mr. Berlusconi arrest.

(...) “The sentence the court confirmed was four years, but it was automatically reduced to one year under a law aimed at combating prison overcrowding.”

Prison overcrowding...

“Mr. Berlusconi is still facing trial on charges of paying for sex with the Moroccan-born Karima el Mahroug, nicknamed Ruby Heartstealer, when she was still a minor, and abusing his office to cover it up.”

“In comments published recently on his party’s Facebook page, Mr. Berlusconi, a former prime minister, said he was prepared to go to prison if he was convicted”

Published on Facebook...

Then comes the news about Mr. Snowden, re-starting the old Russian and US conflict. No other country would face the US and initate a potencial disagreement with such world economical “power”, but of course, Russia would and did.

So, if you really think through the absurdity of these political games, and look back to our small, innocent, but still mindfully “political” childhood games, it’s scary how much similar all is.

Think about it... we need to think about it.
